Farm Visit Program

Advocating organic agriculture and promoting organic food to the people are our task. So our organic farm welcomes any entities, groups or persons to apply for visiting our farm in Sheung Shui, New Territories, Hong Kong.

Before applying for the farm visit, please carefully read through the following regulations.

Application Regulations and Method of Payment

  1. All visitors are requested to fill in the farm visit application form and to gain the farm visit confirmation from the company.
  2. The charges for the farm visit are listed in the application form below. The application form can be downloaded directly from below or obtained from the company by fax.
  3. Please submit the filled application form to the company 4 weeks before the preferred date of visit by fax. After submitting the filled application form, please call the company for confirmation on the receipt of the form.
  4. If the visit is desired to take place within 4 weeks from the date of application submission, please call the company for confirmation.
  5. The basic number of persons required for each visit is 20. If the number of visiting persons is less than this figure, please call the company for consent.
  6. Please pay 30% of the total charge of the visit as the visit reservation deposit within 7 days after submitting the filled application form by fax to the company. The balance (including the lunch expenses) of the charge is required to be paid one week before the date of visit in crossed cheque payable to Organic Gardens International Ltd.

    If the deposit is failed to be paid within the required time, the visit reservation will be automatically cancelled. The company will confirm receipt of the deposit or the balance either by telephone or fax.

  1. If the number of visiting persons is requested to be increased after the submission of the application, please check with the company by telephone or fax. If the increment is permitted, the charge difference due to the increment is required to be paid up by crossed cheque to the company as soon as possible.
  2. If there are any inquiries about the transportation to the farm, please contact our staff for assistance.

    (Note: No prior notice will be served if there are any changes of the application regulations and the method of payment.)

Arrangement of Cancellation or Postponement

  1. If any farm visit booking is requested to be cancelled or postponed 10 days before the date of visit (inclusive), an amount of HK$ 300.00 will be deducted by the farm from the deposit as the handling charge before the balance of the deposit is refunded. However, if the farm visit booking is requested to be cancelled within 10 days before the date of visit, the whole sum of the deposit will not be returned. After request for cancellation or postponement, a new booking, if required, has to be done within one month with the date of visit to be arranged within 3 months.
  2. If any meal is requested to be cancelled 7 days before the date of visit (inclusive), no payment is required.
  3. If any meal is requested to be cancelled 4 days before the date of visit (inclusive), half of the total charge for the meal has to be paid.
  4. If any meal is requested to be cancelled within 1 day before the date of visit (inclusive), no payment will be returned for the charges of the meal.

Special Arrangement due to Bad Weather

  1. If No. 3 typhoon signal or rainstorm warning is announced by the Hong Kong Observatory after 12:00 noon on the date immediately before the date of visit, the visit due to be taken place in the next day will be cancelled.
  2. If the rainstorm warning is announced by the Hong Kong Observatory at or after 7:00 am on the date of visit, the visit and all the activities arranged for the whole day will be cancelled.
  3. If the visit is cancelled due to the bad weather situation as stated above, the visit will be arranged again within 6 months after the date of cancellation. The new date of visit has to be agreed by both parties.
  4. If the visit is cancelled by the sole decision of the visiting group or persons responsible for the booking and/or payment of the visit, the deposit will not be refunded.
  5. If the visit is cancelled due to the bad weather situations as stated above, the costs of the lunch meal will be equally borne by the farm and the visiting group or persons responsible for the booking or the payment of the visit.

Organic Garden Farm Visit Regulations and Advice

In order to appreciate the importance of organic agriculture and the advantages of the organic vegetable, the visitors are required to pay attention to some advice and to follow the regulations as below:

  1. All visitors have to follow the regulations as listed hereunder and posted at the farm.
  2. Littering and smoking are not allowed within the farm area. The waste has to be littered into the trash bins. The farm must be kept clean at all times.
  3. All visitors are required to follow the instructions given by the farm staff and are advised not to deviate the visiting route individually from the arranged route while visiting the fields. All visitors are forbidden to either play or work in the fields without the permission from the farm staff. The company, including the farm, and the employees of the company will not bear any consequences due to the wilful act by any individual visitors.
  4. Picking any vegetable, flower or plants and trampling on the planted fields within the farm is prohibited without permission from the farm staff. If any visitors pick any vegetable, flower and plants or trample on the fields without permission, they will be charged at the corresponding price together with extra surcharges.
  5. The visitors are not allowed to touch and move any cultivation tools, machines and watering switches in order to keep from danger.
  6. All visitors are required to put their belongings into the assigned place and to keep their valuables with them. All visitors have to be responsible for the losses of their own belongings and valuables during the visit.
  7. The price of organic vegetable is higher than the inorganic vegetable sold in the markets. Visitors are advised to contact the farm staff if they want to purchase the organic vegetable from the farm. No refund will be made for any purchase.
  8. Visitors are advised to wear casually with the walking shoes as the roads to the farm are a bit bumpy. It will be convenient to wear raincoat rather than carrying the umbrella during the drizzling rain.

Afternoon half-day program starts at 13:30

  • The above program contents will be adjusted according to the weather of the date of visit or the availability of the farm staff.
  • Catering services from the company's associated restaurants, Dai Pai Dong, with organic vegetable for the lunch can be arranged (in the form of buffet).
  • Drinks (organic soymilk, organic ginger drink, distilled water ...etc.) and different types of organic food can be bought from the store at the farm.
  • No parking place is available at the farm. Please contact us for assistance if parking is required.
